House For Sale

My house has been on the market for almost 2 months and not a bite yet. The number of showings has slowed down but I am still getting a few a week so I guess that is a good sign.
There was a showing on Thursday that went pretty well but the people really want a 4 bedroom, but they might be interested. There were 2 showings on Sunday. I'm hoping something gives soon. All these showings and nothing is tugging at my patience, of which I don't have a lot.

I have found that how people view the house is totally subject. There was a showing last Tuesday where the person who looked at the house (while someone was here working on the house), thought the house was "out of date" and wanted hard wood floors. I can't do a thing about the hard wood floors, her agent never should have shown her the house. As far as the house being "out of date", the person working on the house, who does mainly carpenter work by trade said the house for being 20 years old was in good shape and didn't need to be upgraded.
Obviously the person looking at the house didn't have a realistic view of what houses are going for. They said for $185,000 they would consider buying. Consider the house is on the market for $225,900 (and I've dropped the price), they want something for nothing.
The people on Thursday though the house showed excellently and was priced right.

So as I sit and wait, I am still doing a little bit of touch of stuff around the house to make it look better. If the rain stays away, my deck should get painted along with my outside doors. That will finish up the work the Handy Man company needs to get done.

The next step is to call PODS and get an estimate on having one delivered, the cost of having it here as I start to fill it up and then the cost of having it brought to NC, when my house finally sells and I buy one down there.

So much to get done, that I can't get started until someone actually buys my house.
